Warriors Consider Polokwane for Kenya Clash

Zimbabwe's national football team, the Warriors, may host their final African Cup of Nations (Afcon) Qualifier against Kenya in Polokwane, South Africa. Coach Michael Nees revealed this plan, citing difficulties in securing quality training facilities in Johannesburg, where they previously played Namibia.

Nees explained that the team's stay in Johannesburg posed logistical challenges, including requiring police escorts for training sessions and lengthy bus rides. To address these issues, the Warriors sought alternative venues and identified Polokwane's Peter Mokaba Stadium, a CAF-certified facility, as a suitable option.

The coach praised the stadium's pitch, saying, "Polokwane has one of the best pitches in South Africa." This potential change aims to enhance the team's preparation and performance.

Zimbabwe faces Kenya at home and Cameroon away in their final two Group J matches during the November international break.
